Let’s go to Ireland – Where you can have a lot of fun!

On 24 March the classes 3DK and 3EK took a flight to Ireland. Our teachers, Ms Szigeti, Ms Todt and Ms Knaus were with us. We landed on Dublin Airport and were taken to our first stop which was Galway in the west of Ireland. There we stayed in Sleepzone, a youth hostel, from Monday to Wednesday. We had a full day tour in Connemara, where we visited Kylemore Abbey. On the way we stopped at beautiful places to take pictures and we were really impressed by the amazing landscape and the beautiful coastline. The second day tour took us to the Burren and Dolmen, the Cliffs of Moher (an absolute highlight of our stay!), Bunratty Castle and the Folk Park. On Wednesday, at five o’clock we arrived in Bray, where our host families picked us up from ATC Language School.
On Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday we had lessons at the ATC buildings. The basic skills like speaking, writing, listening and speaking were practiced in a funny and motivating way. One afternoon we had a guided tour through Dublin, where two guides showed us the most important sights, another afternoon we enjoyed shopping in Dublin. We were also booked in for Irish dancing and bowling. This was a lot of fun. On the weekend we had no school but we had full day tours. We saw Glendalough, Wicklow Gaol, Kilkenny Town and Kilkenny Castle. By the way, we had guided tours at Jameson Whiskey Distillery and at the Guinness Storehouse. The top of this storehouse was offering a great view over Dublin. This was the last impressive stop of our trip in Ireland.
Early in the morning on Wednesday, we had to leave our host families (who were really nice!) and left from Dublin Airport for Vienna.
These ten days were really awesome, interesting, informative and funny. Both classes got to know and like each other and we had a great time. All in all, we can say this trip and language stay was perfect and we will never forget it. It will always be a great memory in our lives.

24. März -2. April 2014, 3DK + 3EK BHAK Frauenkirchen
